Intervention for Change is the state accredited Batterer’s Intervention Program for counseling services that address the problems of abusive behavior in domestic relationships.  Domestic Violence offenders are mandated by the courts to attend 26 hours of counseling.  

 

The course continues to grow as the number of convictions of family violence perpetrators increase.  The program is offered for Sumter, Lee and Clarendon county residents.  A psycho-educational group that allows batters to learn about domestic violence, learn new family strategies and modify their behavior.
